This project guide will detail the steps to create an RFID (radio frequency identification) door lock system using an Arduino Mega 2560.
The goal is to open a door by using a specific tag that functions as an access badge. If the wrong tag is scanned, the door will stay closed and set off a buzzer.
To control the door lock, we'll be using a relay module interfaced with an Arduino which controls a...

Amazing! RFID cat door using Arduino
Check the full tutorial here:

How it works:
1. In the beginning the door is locked, cat is outside
2. Cat walks up to the gate, RF tag gets read within about 4 inches
3. Door unlocks and a light comes on.
4. Timer ensures that door stays unlocked long enough to give cat a chance to respond
5. Cat pushes open the flap and enters
6. Flap falls back, activates Hall effect sensor, and the door locks
7. Going from the inside out, an...

Raspberry Pi RFID Door Test
Using the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins ,python, and a USB ID-20 RFID reader to trigger a door strike actuator. The python code also sends a tweet to Twitter.com letting you know who opened the door or attempted to open the door. This will eventually be installed @ NESIT hackerspac , replacing our old Arduino RFID door.

This access controlling system can read both RFID cards and tags. One master card is there to enter and exit the programming mode. Once we have entered the programming mode, any card can be added or removed. When the card is tapped it checks that the card is in the system or not. If it's a new card, it will be added to the system and if it's a remaining card, it will remove the card from the system. This is having two RFID readers in both...

How to use RFID to unlock a door for Arduino
In this video we use the RC522 RFID reader and an Arduino Nano to actuate a door lock controlled by a servo. When the RFID reader receives a card that is in the allowed access group, the program sends a command to the servo telling it to open the bolt lock. If a card that is not in the allowed group is scanned, nothing happens.

RFID based Door Lock System using Arduino
I have used EM-18 RFID Reader Module and Arduino UNO board for this project. RFID Reader reads the unique rfid number from the RFID cards or RFID tag and sends it to microcontroller. The system/Door allows access based on the RFID tag received on the RFID reader.
Controller: ATmega328
RFID Reader: EM-18 Module
Software Environment: Embedded C, Arduino IDE, Serial Monitor/PuTTY
Special Features: RFID Interfacing, Serial Communication
