Atmel Atmega2560 Mega2560 RFID Reader and LCD display
I put together a quick demo of serial interfacing between two hardware serial ports on the Atmega2560 chip and a 2004 LCD display.
The RFID reader is a Priority 1 Design FDX-B/HDX RFID Reader Writer with TTL serial port. Our tags are 125kHz. Display is a QC2004A with a LCM1602 IIC V1 board on the back. The atmel chip is a Atmega2560
Message for code, I should start a github one day.

RFID Access Control
Really brief demo of homebrew electronic lock with a RFID reader designed for m4102 tags - in this case, a chip embedded in my right hand.
The lock actuator and RFID reader are decoupled allowing for other inputs to also unlock the door (such as TXT messages, pin pads, or the output of facial recognition software and a camera) or be combined (e.g. rfid chip + pin code).
The hardware used for the controller is an arduino for USB to serial and servo controller , but a stripped down version...

ICE_EN_Actual speed of reading information in a RFID chip .wmv
Here's a video showing the actual speed of reading information in a RFID chip placed in a cryotube ICE® stored in liquid nitrogen.
The tube is released directly from liquid nitrogen; it is placed in the RFID reader connected to the computer managing the database.
Once placed in the RFID reader, the contents of the chip are available on the screen in less than 8 seconds.

This a RFID blocking Wallet.
What is a RFID blocking wallet?
RFID-blocking wallets are designed to help insulate you from a very particular brand of electronic pickpocketing, called RFID skimming. The concern is that some credit cards, passports, and driver’s licenses now come with embedded radio frequency identification chips.
RFID systems consist of three components:...

Building an RFID Bear - Success!.3gp
This is my successful first test of the electronics of an RFID Bear Kit. It's an Arduino Uno controlling an Adafruit WaveShield 1.1 and a Parallax RFID reader. The hardware senses a nearby RFID chip (the one in my hand at the bottom right at the start of the video) and plays back an associated WAV file, stored on the SD card.
