RFID pit-tag controlled Bird Feeder, Perch Design tests
This video shows birds tests an improved perch and RFID coil design on our RFID logging pit-tag controlled bird feeder, for use in studying wildlife.
This improved perch design encourages the birds to sit with their legs in an optimal position within the RFID antenna coil to optimise RFID read performance.

RFID Pit-Tag controlled linked bird feeders
These bird feeders are for research into animal behaviour. They have integrated RFID pit-tag readers to read the tags in bird leg-rings. They can be programmed to open when certain birds arrive together at the feeders, so they can explore how birds cooperate to obtain food in a social group.

RFID-logging squirrel feeder prototype - part 2
This is Part 2 of a preview of the NatureCounters prototype grey squirrel bait feeder. This is the basic version, but the same design will be available with a range of electronic sensors for logging the RFID tags of visiting squirrels, as well as measuring their weight and the weight of bait each one takes.
A version will be available which takes a colour reading from the fur of the animal, and selectively opens the door only to grey squirrels.
