RFID reader speed test: ThingMagic Mercury M6
When you work with battery-free RFID sensors there are many things you want to have into account. One of them is the speed at which you can read sensor data.
The series of videos 'RFID reader speed test' helps you visually understand what read speeds to expect from different readers based on our setups.
Please note that this is not the best you can get from the specific reader but the best we have been able to achieve with a reasonable amount of effort. Read more about RFID software...

IoT for Smart Agriculture: Battery free Wireless moisture sensor + Rover
Wireless Battery free moisture sensors are very useful for Smart Agriculture applications. Using RFID sensors, you can measure variables such as moisture, humidity, temperature... wirelessly and without batteries!. You only need an RFID Reader to power up and read the information of the sensors. Instead of using a handheld reader in some cases a drone or a rover can do this job for you!
Besides if the drone has a GPS guidance it can autonomously read all the sensors spread in the field by...

RFID drones for automatic, battery-free sensor monitoring
Initial tests run with Alerion to integrate an RFID reader into their drone.
The drone flies to the designated areas and retrieves the information from sensors – or commands the actuators. Once the flight is finished, the reader on top of the RFID drone shares the information via a WiFi link with an iPad, which shows the data from the sensors that were read.
