RFID Puts Billions Back Into The Pockets Of Retailers

Did you know that RFID could put billions of dollars back into the pockets of retailers?

A 2016 survey by the National Retail Federation, reports that retail inventory shrink accounted for almost 1.4% of sales, or $45.2 billion dollars.

Loss in retail is a big issue, and the main issue is theft. Research is showing that shoplifting accounted for 39% of the reported shrink in 2016 alone, and perhaps more concerning is that employee/internal theft amounted to 35% of inventory shrink.
