Toronto hospital uses RFID to restock medication trays

Late last year, Toronto’s North York General Hospital became the first hospital in Canada to leverage RFID technology to restock medication trays. The hospital integrated Intelliguard Kit and Tray Management System, a device made by the US-based MEPS Real-Time that is already in place in a few hospitals stateside. And a quality study conducted by North York General Hospital and the manufacturer confirmed the drastically improves restocking speed and accuracy.
