How to RFID Tag

There is still much confusion about how to program and RFID tag even though it is a very simple process. Please refer to the video clip for a view on how to tag using a stationary workstation. Remember a live ILS connection is not required, all we're doing is converting the barcode information to a different medium.

RFID Library implemented in AmbientTalk: connection/disconnection

This movie shows a library demo application developed in AmbientTalk. The books in the library are tagged with RFID tags and are scanned using a low range RFID reader connected via USB. It shows how RFID-tagged books moving in and out of range of the reader are events on which the application reacts.

Automated Shipment Verification / ASN from AB&R

What is needed for automated shipment verification?

1. RFID Tags: RFID tags are attached to the pallets, assets or individual products you are looking to track. There is a multitude of tags to choose from depending on your operation.

2. RFID Readers: Most operations want readers at their dock doors where shipments are constantly moving in and out. However, each business is different, and readers may need to be installed elsewhere.

3. Cloud-Based Integration or Stand-Alone: By using the cloud,...

rBot RFID

rBot-RFID is a 14Hour Robotics workshop which is a new approach to a robotic navigation through a grid of RFID tags. Workshop will focus on building a navigation system using the RF signal from the RFID tags as a feedback signals to navigate a mobile robot within an unknown or uncertain indoor environment. This method is computationally simpler and more cost-effective than many of its counterparts in the state of the art. It is also modular and easy to implement since it is independent of the...

Stigmergy at work

Seven ePuck robots equipped with RFID readers move on the floor of an apartment that hides a hexagonal grid of 1900 RFID tags. The robots read and write information to/from the tags to build and store several navigation maps on the RFID floor. Each navigation map gives at each tag the distance to a given goal tag. Once built, these maps are used by a small ePuck robot, by a mid-sized Turtlebot2, and by a large Scitos G5 robot to perform safe goal directed navigation. To navigate, robots only...
