Amarnath Yatra: Vehicles to have Radio Frequency Identification Tags

Keeping the security of the visitors and pilgrims in mind during the Amarnath Yatra, the home ministry has ordered the security forces to ensure that every vehicle carrying Amarnath pilgrims should feature a Radio Frequency Identification Tag or RFID, which can verify the vehicles.

RFID To Be Launched On Major Highways Next Month

Beginning next month, Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd will launch the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), technology to users of major highways around Malaysia.

According to a statement issued by the highway concessionaires, the decision was made after many comprehensive tests were conducted last year.
