6mm Thin Antenna Allows New Era of RFID Applications: Host Louis Sirico
It's 6mm thick, can be placed on any surface, cut to any length, can have a cart pushed over it, works with any C1G2 tag, and has an evanescent antenna pattern which reads RFID tags directly above it. In this edition, we test the evolutionary, new ultra-thin UHF RFID antenna... Host: Louis Sirico

RFID under water - Test in plastic pot
Liquids inhibit RFID power transfer and communication and we wanted to test it.
RFID reader, reader antenna and a sensor tag (Stella battery free LED tag) were set up in a very simple configuration.
You'll see it by yourself in the video. We can read the tag when on water, can even read the tag underwater when at around 5 cm but we lose communication - the LED does not light up anymore - once we go deeper.
This is what you would expect when having an RFID tag underwater, right? Well, not...

Liquids inhibit RFID power transfer and communication and we wanted to test it.
RFID reader, reader antenna and a sensor tag (Stella battery free LED tag) were set up in a very simple configuration.
You'll see it by yourself in the video but we had a funny result. We can read the tag when on water, can even read the tag underwater when at around 5 cm but we lose communication - the LED does not light up anymore - once we go deeper... until it reaches the bottom. We can read the tag when...
