Power RFID - ZERO Power RFID
The Zero power RFID technology enables the batteries in active RFID tags to last up to 2000 years. This RFID technology was developed by University of Pittsburgh's Swanson School of Engineering and highlights the capabilities and commercialization of the zero power RFID tag. This initiaitive is a part of the T-RIC Technology consortium bridging the gap between manufacturers and university laboratories and to bring technology acceleration to RFID.
